Social Computing

Social computing is a general term for an area of computer science that is concerned with the intersection of social behaviour and computational systems.

“Social Computing with a Purpose”.
Harnessing social collaboration to solve “Internet-scale” challenges. Limitations of today include inability to consistently characterise social capabilities and interests. With the Social Platform, if it is possible to model a problem in terms of social abilities, desires and goals and then distribute the problem amongst social participants.
